IKTARA -- A song Enquiring the Depths of Human Existence....

O'rey manva tu to bavra hai
o'rey manva tu to bavra hai
Tu hi jaane tu kya sochta hai
Tu hi jaane tu kya sochta hai bavre

( Oh my mind, you are crazy
Only you know what you are thinking
Only you know what you are thinking, oh wanderer
why are you showing me dreams while I sleep and wake )

A question asked by the Personality to the Reality.
Human being is demanding the final answer from one's Inner Realms that what the real matter is, why I am here on this planet, what for, who I am...
Poet has raised an inner question of the soul which, in fact, relates to every human being.
Whether one knows it or not but everybody is seeking the Ultimate, the Final Answer, the God--- sometimes in relations, sometimes in money, sometimes in desires, I mean everywhere.
We are basically seeking who we are....

In this song also, poet discloses the human state of being which remains covered under the veil of dreams,

Poet says...
Jo barse sapne boond boond
Nainon ko moond moond
Kaise main chaloon
Dekh na sakoon, anjaane raastein ;

( When the dreams rain down in drops
flooding my eyes
How could I walk
I can't see the unknown paths )

Poet is saying that I am unable to see the real version of the Existence under the burden of dreams, I am unable to see the Reality, the Infinite....

Jim Holt, an american Philosopher, an author, explores and asks why is there something rather than nothing ? in his book " Why does the World Exist " and here in this song, Poet Javed Akhtar sahab also asks the similar question rather goes a little ahead asking the mind that is representation of the Infinite, the God   " Why I am here. Oh my mind what is going on "

A beautiful song from the movie " Wake up Sid ".
Sung very soulfully by Eminent singer, Kavita Seth who has made an immense value addition to the words of poet by putting the required pain and alaap in the song, so touching......

A Treat for the soul...and for exploring the final answer of life...

HIS Eyes...

We live as if nobody is watching us, as if nobody is noticing us, as if we can break any bond, as if we are free to do anything. But no, this is not so. Some Presence is always watching us and our actions. Though we do enjoy full freedom as human beings but still the system which has conceived and developed human model and is encircling our existence, is watching us, though not directly interfering in our activities. Sitting deep down in our body, HE is waiting for our attention as HE wants INFINITE to unfold... Band- Police, has come out with a great poetry beautifully sung by Great Sting viz. Every breath you take Every move you make Every bond you break Every step you take I'll be watching you. This song lets us know that HE is watching us and waiting.......! Watch this video for confirmation.                      Poetry has done its job and has conveyed ...

Human illusion - Informed by Great Poet Kaifi Azmi

We are brought here on this planet by the Power unknown to us. Thereafter, we grow, we learn, we earn, we fail, we succeed, we perform and collect many things in life mainly to experience happiness, peace, satisfaction and so on. But in spite of all this, restlessness persists. Satisfaction eludes. We never feel reached. We keep on missing some target unknown to us, but which is always calling us. We live as if we are waiting for something to happen. So, whatever we do, whatever we get, proves just insufficient to quench our inner thirst.. Great Poet Kaifi Azmi sahab says Dil Ki tasalli ke liye juuthii chamak jhuuthaa nikhaar ( For my heart’s satisification, I have adorned myself in this f alse glitter and shine ) Jivan toh suunaa hi raha sab samjey aaii hai bahar ( Though it remains empty, everyone assumes that spring has arrived in my life. ) Here, Kaifi Sahab also confirms that life remains empty even after whatever human being has attained, though one does th...

Poetry -- A CALL of the INFINITE

Poetry is not merely a combination of words. I believe it is an account of the Unknown and may be, by the Unknown. Poetry wants to talk with you. It wants to convey something very important to you. It wants to deliver some message to you. It desires to have your kind attention. It wants to hold your hand and take you to a secret   journey. May be it   wants to unfold the mystery. It seems to be carrying something very valuable. When the Poet Majrooh Sultanpuri says  “ Mere Ghar Main Aai Hui Hai Bahar,  ( Spring has already arrived in me ) Qayamat Hai Phir Bhi Karoon Intezar “ ( My God, I am still waiting for the spring )   Poet has conveyed a fact   which is secret to us. He reveals that   we are already equipped with all the potential of being in Heaven. We already have all the festivals in us. The question is how to decode this, how to connect with it.   But Amazing that in spite of being so rich inwardly, we are still ...
